Virginia "Jean" Motley, 81, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born on December 23, 1934 in Coffeyville, Kansas to John C. and Sarah "Opal" (Robinette) Eubanks. She grew up in Altamont, Kansas graduating from Labette County High School. On March 29, 1957 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Ralph E. Motley in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. Jean retired from the USD 445 school district where she enjoyed being a bus driver for fifteen years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville; she was always involved and active in the church. Jean enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and baking pies. Most of all she loved the time she spent surrounded by family and friends. Surviving to honor her memory is her loving husband, Ralph; son, Tom Motley and wife, Eileen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Chris Holt and husband, Lee of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Marge Motley of Vancouver, Washington; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Opal. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Patio at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Pastor Diane Massey of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Friends may sign the guest register on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Family will greet friends on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville ; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road., Coffeyville, KS 67337
