Michele Ann Barr (Akin) died after a long illness on April 19, 2016 in Tulsa Oklahoma. Michele was born on December 17, 1964 in Coffeyville, KS to Ron Akin and Cheryl Hunnicutt. She had 4 sons and lived in Colorado Springs, CO, Allen, TX, and Tulsa, OK. Her passions included many crafts, sewing, and reading which she used in her favorite job as the Children’s Librarian in Fountain, CO. Her greatest joy late in life was when she became Meemaw to Mac and Elanor. Michele is survived by her husband of 24 years Craig Barr of Tulsa, OK, Son: Adam Bowles and wife Brienne of Parsons, KS; Son: Ben Bowles and wife Georgia of Colorado Springs, CO; Sons: David and Jacob Barr of Tulsa, OK; Grandchildren Mac Bowles and Elanor Bowles; Former Spouse; Bruce Bowles of Coffeyville, KS; Sister; Terri Eubanks and husband Lanny; Father: Ron Akin and wife Peggy. She was preceded in death by her mother Cheryl Hunnicutt. A memorial service will be held April 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Church of Christ in Coffeyville KS under the direction of David W. Barnes funeral home of Coffeyville; with visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Clarehouse in Tulsa who took exceptional care of her and was a place of comfort for family and friends.
