Billie Borum, 87, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at her home. She was born on October 29, 1928, at Waveland, Arkansas to Lloyd and Lucielle Ella "Lou" (Downs) Conley. Billie grew up and attended school in North Little Rock, Arkansas. On February 22, 1947, she married Troy Borum at Booneville, Arkansas. Following their marriage they made their home in Booneville until moving to Coffeyville in 1953, when they purchased the Superette Grocery located at 8th and Washita and changed the name to Borum's Nu-Way Foodliner, they later moved the store to 1223 West 8th St. where they operated the family business until 1993. Her husband preceded her in death on January 3, 2009. Billie attended the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, and boating at Grand Lake, but her greatest love was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include four sons, Carey Borum, Randy Borum, Steve Borum and Kirk Borum; one daughter, Tonni Harrald; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Conley; her mother, Lucielle "Lou" Conley Pressley; and her husband Troy. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the Veterans Memorial Patio in Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Randy DePriest of the First Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
