Jeffery E. Berg, 60, of Edna, KS, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at his home. He was born on January 3, 1956, at Blair, Wisconsin to Otis and Lillian (Hoem) Berg. Jeffery grew up and attended school in Blair, graduating from Blair High School. Jeffery's love of cooking led him to become a Chef. On May 25, 1985, he married Jean Hart at Austin, TX. Following their marriage they made their home in Austin, TX where Jeffery was employed as a Chef. In 1993, they moved to Edna where they owned and operated 2-J's Café. He loved cooking for family and friends, and enjoyed working in his yard. Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; two daughters, Carla Headlee, Stephanie Romero; one son, JC Day; five sisters, Dagmar, Alice, Elizabeth, Sharon, and Marie; seven brothers, Owen, Michael, Brian, Corey, David, Daniel and Lance; three granddaughters, and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Arnie. Following Jeffery's wishes cremation will take place and no service is planned. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contribtions may be sent to David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
