Obituary of Molly A. Sykes

Molly Ann (Kelly) Sykes was born on March 20, 1939 in Arkansas to Clarence Tilman Kelly and Ollie Irene Kelly. She had several brothers and sister: Wanda, Linda, Arvella, Jerry, J.T. and Argus. Her family moved to Coffeyville, Kansas where Molly went to school and graduated from Field Kindley High School. Molly met Bill Sykes and on July 28, 1957 they were married. They had four children, Terry Joe Sykes born November 14, 1958, Ed Eugene Sykes born November 21, 1959, Tim Ray Sykes born August 18, 1961 and Sue Lynn Sykes born July 8, 1963. Molly worked at several different jobs. She worked at Western Publishing, Ivan Marrow and Meals on Wheels. She loved to play Bingo. Molly leaves behind her husband, Bill of the home; sons, Terry Sykes and wife, Carla, Ed Sykes; daughter, Sue Banzet and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Desery Drake, Chad Smith, Jeff Smith, Tara Baldwin, Joey Sykes, Stephanie Schneickert, Stephen Sykes, Michelle Ross, Samantha Davis, Kimberly Banzet and Anthony Banzet along with several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Sykes on July 5, 2007 and grandson, Josh Sykes on November 28, 2013. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesay, July 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Mund will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may sign the guest register on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
