Martha Louise Martin stepped across the threshold to eternal peace on the twenty-ninth day of July 2016. Leaving behind her husband, Leslie; son David; two daughters Kathy and Pam; and four awesome grandsons, Dusty, Dawson, Maxxwell, and Drake. She was a daughter, sister, an aunt, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a heart of gold and was always available to those who needed her.
She gave of her time to mentor young children as a Sunday school teacher and loved the Lord her Savior with her whole heart. One of her favorite verses being, "Lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world." Matthew 28:20 KJV.
Among her favorite ways to entertain herself were crossword puzzles, admiring lighthouses, and loving on her grandsons whom she adored.
She was born on the fourth day of May 1935 to Louis Lester Kitchens and Xaline Nancy Kitchens she later united in marriage with Leslie Lloyd Martin on the eleventh day of November 1962.
She was joined in Heavenly glory her father, mother, and brother and miscellaneous other relatives. She let her light shine for 81 marvelous years, now we must carry on where she left off. "She fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 KJV. We love you and will miss you everyday until we join you in Heaven, what a reunion that will be. Heaven was sweetened even more with you entrance, we now have one more reason to strive toward making Heaven our home.
