Ranisha Kay "Woody" Wooden, 57, of Parsons, Kansas was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2016 at her home.
On November 25, 1958 an angel from Heaven was sent to Laura Melinice (Woods) Wooden, a baby girl, Ranisha who accepted Christ at Sardis Baptist Church at a young age.
Ranisha grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas where she attended Roosevelt Middle School and graduated from Field Kindley High School. She was a certified Cosmetologist and Certified Nurses Aide.
She was a loving mother to her three children, a caring sister and generous friend to all. She enjoyed her life with her social outtings playing bingo and visiting casinos. She was one lucky lady and she loved to gamble. She also loved her bubble gum.
Ranisha leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Laura Woods; children, Jason Dionne Wooden (Anita) of Houston, Texas, Braxton Deshawn Wooden (Shakenia) of Joplin, Missouri and Tyoniea Lorraine Wooden (Shonica) of Parsons, Kansas; sister, Gail Adair; brothers, Jeffery Wooden, Kevin Wooden (Sue), Steven Parker (Glenda), Eric Woods (Arlene) and Tevis Bryant, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mable Wooden; two grandsons, Brandon Wooden and Braxton Wooden, Jr. her aunt, Bernice Lewis, and nephew Cordell Adair.
Home Going Memorial Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Parsons, Kansas. Pastor Darren Dusher will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas.
