Obituary of Randy Lee Wright

Randy Lee Wright, 51, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Randy was born on August 19, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri to Howard and Songia (Shirley) Wright. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended local elementary schools and Field Kindley High School. Randy worked for many years on the track crew with Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, hiking, camping and riding four wheelers; he also loved the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends. He cherished the time he spent with his daughters and grandchildren. On September 20, 1986 he was united in marriage to Peggy Engman, the couple made their home in Coffeyville and from that union three daughters were born. The couple later divorced in 2004 but remained close friends. Surviving to honor his memory are his parents, Howard and Songia Wright of Coffeyville; daughters, Krystal Wright of Dallas, Texas, Kristina Wright of Coffeyville, Randi Akins and husand Galen of Coffeyville; seven grandchildren; brother, Michael Wright and wife Ginger of Coffeyville; sister, Trudy Sjolander and husband Robert of Coffeyville; two nieces; one nephew and numerous extended family members. The family will have a Graveside Memorial Service on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery north of Coffeyville. Pastor Doug Mund will officiate. Friends may sign the guest register for Randy at David W. Barnes funeral home through out the week during business hours until Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to David W.
