Obituary of Gaila L. Donaldson

Gaila Louise Donaldson 76 , of Coffeyville, KS passed away on November 19, 2016 in her home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Grace Fellowship Church, with Pastor Doug Mund officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Coffeyville, KS. Arrangements are through David W. Barnes Funeral Home. Gaila was born in Coffeyville, KS to James P. and Marcella Gooding on April 17, 1940. She attended Coffeyville schools. On September 13, 1955, she married Charles R. (Chuck) Donaldson in Columbus, KS. They made their home in Coffeyville. She was a wonderful mother of three, an active member of First Baptist Church, and later, Grace Fellowship Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an employee of Wal-Mart for twenty years until her retirement in 2006. Gaila is preceded in death by her parents and her eldest son Randy. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Chuck, her daughter Jamie and husband Larry Dean of rural Coffeyville, her youngest son Jason and wife Vonda Donaldson of rural Coffeyville, her sisters Shirley Carpenter of Tulsa, OK and Lillian (Donnell) Bagget of Northglenn, CO, her grandchildren Sarah and Lance Butler of Edmond, Oklahoma, Matthew and Samantha Dean of Commerce, Texas, and her great grandchildren Rowan and Ryker Butler.
