Obituary of Daniel Joseph McGeary

Daniel Joseph "Dan" McGeary, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend, age 65, of Coffeyville, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at his home surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was born on August 9, 1951, at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joe and Helen (Pauly) McGeary. When he was young his family moved to Wichita where he grew up and attended school graduating from Wichita East High School. Dan was veteran of the U.S. Navy. On January 17, 1976, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Pam Miller at Independence. Following their marriage they made their home in the Coffeyville area. Dan was employed as a truck driver for Jack B. Kelly for several years. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Dan enjoyed music and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Pam of the home; one daughter, Suni McGeary; two grandchildren, Leland John VanWinkle and Avie Mae Lucille VanWinkle; and many friends. A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville with military honors conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1022 and American Legion Post #20.
