Kaci Michelle Laird-Blake, 31, of Topeka, formerly of Independence, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Topeka.
She was born December 28, 1981 at Watonga, OK to Barney Laird and Kim (Graybill) Laird-Strunk. Kaci moved to Independence with her mother and step-father Danny Strunk when she was young, where she attended school and made her home until moving to Topeka in 2007.
Kaci loved all kinds of music.
Survivors include three children, Juliana Jordan Miller and Mayli Michelle Miller both of Topeka, and Kahler Mattix Paul Brown of Lawrence; her mother and step-father, Kim and Danny Strunk of Topeka; her father and step-mother, Barney and Denise Laird of Fairview, OK; sisters, Alyson Marie Welch of Springfield, MO, Brooke DeLee Laird of Davenport, IA, Kerri Dawn Chaffin of Woodard, OK, and Katelynne Danielle Strunk of Topeka; brothers, Zachary Paul Strunk of Coffeyville, and James Julius Eaton of Wichita; step-sisters, Louise Zook of Oklahoma, and Kristie Cornado of California; step-brother, David Whisenhunt of Ohio; her grandparents, Johnnie and Linda Graybill of rural Coffeyville; her great-grandmother, Helen Graybill of rural Edna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Richland Cemetery north of Angola with Gary Sylvas of Tulsa, OK officiating.
Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to a fund being established for the benefit of Kaci's children; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
