Bessie Geneva Hull, age 83, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She was born April 8, 1924 in Peru, Kansas to Robert and Christina Lumley. She grew up and attended school at Peru. She married John W. Hull in 1939. She lived in Arkansas for twenty years before coming back to Sedan in December of 2005. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, planting flowers and bird watching.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Hull of Sedan, Kansas and Patricia Burger of rural Chautauqua, Kansas; one brother, Leroy Lumley of Peru, Kansas; one sister, Edith Cunningham of Peru, Kansas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and one grandchild.
Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas. The casket will be closed.
A private family service will be held with a Graveside Service following at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the El Cado Cemetery south of Peru, Kansas with Earl Tresner officiating.
