Obituary of Mary E. Heale

Mary Heale, 82, of Coffeyville passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Medicalodge of Coffeyville. She was born on October 10, 1934, at rural Wann, OK in the Noxie community. Mary grew up and attended elementary school at a rural school in the Noxie area, and attended Wann High School. In 1960, she married Billie J. Heale at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Mary was employed at Electra in Independence, and the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant at Parsons. Her husband preceded her in death on December 24, 2005. Mary attended the Baptist Church. She loved to dance, and play bingo, but her greatest love was spoiling her nieces and nephews. Survivors include three sisters, Ida Rosson of rural South Coffeyville, OK, Ruth Walker of Coffeyville, and Jo Browning of De Soto, KS ; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers; Lee Brooks, Johnny Brooks, Robert Brooks, sisters; Dorothy Horne, Lula Brooks, and Elsie Fast. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Medicalodge of Coffeyville Activity Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
