Obituary of Rodney Wayne Gaut

Rodney Wayne Gaut, 46, of Coffeyville, KS died on March 11, 2017 at his residence. Rodney was born on March 30, 1970 in Topeka, KS to Elbert Wayne and Norma Jean (Whaling) Gaut. He made his home in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindly High School. He was active in both football and basketball. He also attended Coffeyville Community College. Rodney married Christie Alwood on January 13, 1989. They had one son, Alec 2 daughters, Heather and Hayley. They later divorced. Rodney started working for the City of Coffeyville in 1987, where he became an Assistant Supervisor at the new waste water treatment plant. He left the city in 2014. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shari Lumm on October 6, 1996. Rodney is survived by his parents, one son, Alec of Coffeyville, KS, two daughters, Heather of Stillwater, OK and Hayley of Edna, KS and one grandson, Hestin Wayne of Edna, KS. A Memorial Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery north of Coffeyville, KS, with Father Chad Arnold of Holy Name Catholic Church officiating..
