Jim was my fifth grade teacher at Lowell Elementary School. I remember him fixing tacos for the combination class of 5th and 6th graders. Later he was a morale booster my first year when I had my own 6th grade class. My thoughts are with all of his family.

I had the honor of having him as my fifth grade teacher at Dearing School. He was by far my all time favorite teacher and helped me so much academically. I share with my kiddos today the impact he made in my life and can only pray they will have that one teacher just as I did. May you find Joy knowing he is with our heavenly father. May you be filled with peace that only God can provide as you grieve his loss. May you feel God's presence and be wrapped in his loving arms over these next few days. He was a great man and an amazing teacher who will be greatly missed.

What a privilege to walk in same paths with Jim Hales. One of the "mighty men" in my estimation. Would love to see his smile now. See you in a bit, my brother.

Please accept my condolences. Mr. Hales was my 5th grade teacher in Dearing. I absolutely loved him as my teacher and remember the trees we planted on the back playground as one of our science projects. He will be missed. Praying for all his family!

Reading Jim's memorial tribute was so wonderful. I know it was just a slice of the life he lead for his Lord, but so lovely to read. What a great legacy of life and faith in a great, loving Lord. God bless you all, as you celebrate a life well lived.

He took to heart, "This little light is mine and I'm gonna let it shine." No doubt that people knew he walked with the Lord.

A kind and soft-spoken man of obvious wisdom. Always a gentleman. Most importantly, a man who loved his Savior and lived in such a way that no one could question his faith.
Prayers and condolences to Jeannine, Jan, and all the family.

Papa I love you and I can't wait to see you in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ and my daddy. Tell daddy I said hi and tell him I love him. Papa you were the best grandpa in the world. I am so lucky to have had you in my life. My life wouldn't have been what it is without you in it. You taught me so many things in life and became one of the first heroes I looked up to. Papa have fun up there! I bet it's beautiful. Rest well my angel(:
