Obituary of Michael Hugh Kimmons

Michael Hugh "Mike" Kimmons, 60, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, at his home. He was born on February 20, 1957, in Coffeyville to Hugh J. and Dorothy (Gossett) Kimmons. Mike grew up in Coffeyville where he attended Holy Name School and graduated from Field Kindley High School, he also attended SEK Vo-Tech. On September 15, 1979, he married Brenda Park in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their sons. Mike was an Account Representative working for SEK Media at KGGF, KUSN, and KQQF Radio Stations in Coffeyville. He attended Central Church of the Nazarene and was a former member of Montgomery County Archery Association, and Duck Creek Redezvous Club. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Brenda of the home; two sons, Chad Kimmons of Wichita, and Jesse Kimmons and fiancé, Raci Kuhn of Cherokee, KS; his father, Hugh Kimmons of Coffeyville; two sisters, Saundra Ferguson and husband, Ken of Coffeyville, and Janet Reynolds and husband, Mark of Coffeyville; and seven month old granddaughter, Hazel Mary Alice Kimmons. He was preceded in death by his mother. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at the Central Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ernie Wright of Edmond, OK officiating. Burial will be in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
