Joseph Leon Snider, age 80 of Sedan, Kansas passed away Tuesday morning, June 19, 2007 in the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan, Kansas.
He was born May 16, 1927 in Joplin, Missouri to Howard and Alta Snider. He worked in the oilfield as a driller for Darnall Drilling Company in the 1970's . He married Bethene Antle. She preceded him in death in the early 1980's. He lived in the Niotaze area for most of his life.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by three sons, Clifton "Yogi" Snider of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Rickey Snider of Sedan, Kansas and Cecil Snider of Neodesha, Kansas; one sister, Frida Rollins of Shidler, Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bethene, his parents, one daughter, Betty Reed who passed away in January of 2007, and one brother, Herman.
Cremation has taken place and there is no service planned at this time.
