Obituary of Norma Rose Banzet
Norma was born on September 22, 1924 in Wichita, Kansas to William Del and Gladys Aubertine Linnabary Ingram. She returned to her Heavenly Home on February 21, 2018. Bill and Brenda were there with her holding her hands while she slipped out of her earthly body and made her way through the veil and into Heaven.
She attended High School in Wichita, Kansas graduating from North High. On May 29, 1943 she was united in marriage to William Andrew Burroughs. To this union three children were born Vicki Lou, JoLene and William Andrew Jr. After the death of her husband William she married Verl Banzet. The couple later divorced.
Norma and Bill operated a donut shop in Valley Center, Kansas and also in Wichita, Kansas. Later they owned and operated a full service gas station in Edna, Kansas. Later she worked for Medicalodge, Inc. where she handled the Insurance. She worked there for 25 years retiring on her 75th birthday. She also decorated cakes, loved to travel, loved her religion and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Ed) Skaggs of LaVista, Nebraska; son, Bill (Brenda Boswell) Burroughs of Dearing, Kansas; son in law, Warren Nielsen of Valeda, Kansas; grandchildren Lynn King, Jason Layman, Brad (Jacqueline) Robison of Wichita, Kansas, Brian (Anita) Burroughs of Brierley Hill, England, Michael (Rhonda) Burroughs of Overland Park, Kansas; great grandchildren, Shaylin King, Dustin (Taylor) King, Erin King, Ariel (Jake) Wilkin, Blair Robison, Carter Robison of Wichita, Eli Burroughs, Faye Burroughs of Brierley Hill, England, Lane Burroughs, Haylie Burroughs of Overland Park, Kansas; great great granddaughter Briar Rose Wilkin; grandchildren Jamie Brannan and family, Suzuanne Bryant and family, Diana Harrison and family of Alabama, Berry Nielsen and family of Wyoming; sister in laws, Ilah Ingram and Bea Ingram and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Gladys; husband, Bill; daughter JoLene; brothers Harmon, Reuben and Paul; sister in laws, Ruth Morgan, Nellie Ingram; brother in law, Andy Morgan.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 and 11:00 a.m. at the North Edna Cemetery in Edna, Kansas. Bishop Jeff Hogge will officiate.
Friends may call on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
