Obituary of Rhealda Eunice Cochrane
Rhealda Eunice Cochrane, 93, formerly of South Coffeyville, OK passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Medicalodge of Coffeyville.
She was born on December 10, 1924 at La Porte, IN to Lloyd DeWitt and Nellie Minerva (Bays) Cochrane. Rhealda was raised by her grandparents, George and Sarah Bays and grew up and attended school in La Porte area graduating from La Porte High School.
Shortly after completing her education she started working as a Telephone Operator. Sister Cochrane became an Ordained Minister with the Church of God and devoted her life as a Missionary serving in Cuba, Cayman Islands, West Indies, Haiti, Botswana, South Africa, Philippines, Jamaica, Alaska, and several other areas of the United Sates. Following her retirement Sister Cochrane and longtime friend and fellow missionary Sister Edith Carter moved to South Coffeyville where they were active in the Rock Creek Church of God for several years.
After her retirement she enjoyed reading, and studying her Bible and continued to share with other spiritual literature and encouraging words..
Sister Cochrane is survived by several special cousins, many special friends, and her longtime care giver, Diana Palone and husband, Kenny of South Coffeyville, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents who raised her, and Missionary friend Sister Edith Carter.
Following Sister Cochrane's wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the North Edna Cemetery in Edna, KS.
Her care giver Diana would like to thank the staff at Medicalodge of Coffeyville and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice for the loving care that was given to Rhealda.
