Obituary of Patsy Jean Hargis
Patsy Jean Hargis, 83, of Coffeyville passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on September 1, 1934 at Coffeyville to Hobert and Etta (Moonyham) Hagan. Patsy grew up and attended school in Coffeyville.
In 1953 she married Dan Hargis at Bartlesville, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in the Coffeyville area until moving to Texas in 1957. In 1981 they returned to Coffeyville where Patsy and Dan were Pastors at the Church of Acts until Dan's death in 1993.
After her husband's death Patsy worked at the Regal Motel and later at the Townsman Motel until the flood in 2007.
Patsy loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Terri Hargis of Coffeyville, her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hargis of Coffeyville; cousin, Don Alderman; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hargis, one son, Tucker Hargis; and one grandson, Tanner Hargis.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio, . Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
