Obituary of Dennis LeRoy Maggard

Dennis LeRoy Maggard, 65, of Coffeyville passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

He was born on May 30, 1953 at Coffeyville to James Homerlee and Lottie Elizabeth (Ulmer) Maggard. When he was young his family moved to Texas where he grew up and attended school.

Dennis served in the U.S. Army.

He married Millie Dawn Everett they were later divorced. He later married Lori Coker and they were later divorced. On October 22, 1993 he married Victoria McClue at Burleson, TX. They later moved to Caulksville, AR following the death of his wife on February 13, 2016 he returned to Coffeyville.

For many years Dennis was a dairyman in the Godley, TX area, he loved working with the cattle, and raising farm animals.

Dennis was a member of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed reading, listening music, driving on country roads, and loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Charla Marie Pittman and husband, Jeffrey of Joplin, MO; and April Dawn Crum and husband, Jimbo of Joplin, MO; one son, Aaron Paul Maggard and wife Katrina of Kemp, TX; two brothers, James Maggard of Edna, KS and Kenneth Maggard of Peggs, OK; five sisters, Elizabeth Maggard of Coffeyville, Christine Pape of Burleson, TX, Sondra “Katy” Maggard of Cleburne, TX, Catherin Maggard of Bella Vista, AR, and Charlotte Rene Yeubanks of Edna; four grandchildren, Colton Moses, Zachary Moses, Shayla Maggard and Keira Maggard; and three great-grandchildren,  Kayden, Gabriel and Julian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Victoria; and one brother, Karl Maggard.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Coffeyville First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ford Hall officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.

Friends may call on Monday, July 23rd from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337 to assist with funeral expenses.
