Obituary of Diana G. Young

Diana G. Young, 71, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville. Diana was born on May 18, 1947 to Ivan Stanley and Betty Lou (Trimble) Hargrove in Coffeyville, Kansas. She grew up in Coffeyville where she graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School and attended college courses at Coffeyville Community College. Diana worked for 20 years at Cessna. She started at the bottom and worked her way to the top over the years where she became material coordinator and head of operations for two plane projects. She loved her work, it was her hobby. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and volunteered at the schools. She was always a very generous person; she kept a candy jar at work so that anyone could stop by and grab a piece whenever they wanted. Surviving to cherish her memory is her mother, Betty Rosson of Coffeyville, Kansas; daughter, Tonya (Jon Schuckman) Young of McPherson, Kansas; Clint (Jodi Walker) Young of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Reid, Beckett and Thatcher Schuckman, Chase and Makenzie Young; sister, Linda (Tommy) Thompson of Coffeyville, Kansas; brother, Duane (Judy) Hargrove of Nesbitt, Mississippi; along with numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan S. Hargrove; brother, Kelly Hargrove; sister, Cathy Ford. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Patio at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Pastor Doug Mund will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials can be made to The Journey Home of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; contributions can be mailed in care of David W.
