Obituary of Sarah Lynn Ernzen

Sarah Lynn Ernzen, 65, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at her home.

Sarah was born on July 14, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bill and Martha (Thueson) Montgomery. She graduated from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas.

On July 3, 1978 she was united in marriage to Richard Ernzen in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Coffeyville until moving to Woodward, OK where they lived for 23 year before returning to Coffeyville.

Sarah was a member of Holy Name Church and was active in the Faith and Light and Altar Society. She was a Home Health Care provider. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Ernzen of Coffeyville; children, Jasie Garner-Moseley or Nowata, Oklahoma, Jacob Ernzen of Yukon, Oklahoma, Joshua Ernzen of Yukon, Oklahoma; sisters, Caroline Kitchens of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Marty Montgomery-Ortega of Beeville, Texas; three grandchildren, Tim Moore, Brynn Ernzen, Bryson Ensminger, and Saber Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Martha Montgomery, a sister, Marilyn Hoggatt, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Jo Ernzen.

A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Holy Name Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Daniel Lorimer officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Holy Name Catholic Faith and Light; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
