Jeanie and family, One of the best memories of my childhood are your parents and going to Tony's Bakery. Now that was a special place not for just kids but for anyone who went there. My mom would visit with your mom while I looked at every item in those glassed in cases. I'd look at the wedding cakes in the front window as well. Your mom was always so nice to speak with. I can picture your dad very well but he was usually busy in the back. I can even name many of the items they baked and sold but my personal favorite were the ginger bread men. Every year from first grade to 6th, I brought a huge box of those gingerbread men to school for my birthday. My sisters and I had your birthday cakes every single year for all those years. Your parents were both so wonderful and made a difference in the lives of all who knew them. So glad to know they are all together again. Jeanie, I want to say that it's so nice you called David Barnes, instead of a corporate owned funeral home. David and Carol Barnes are both such caring people and as you know will help you in any way possible. Our family will keep you all close in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Please take care.
