Coffeyville - Jonathan Roy Boomershine, 21, of Coffeyville, passed away Sunday (May 20, 2007) at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. He was born May 15, 1986, in Coffeyville to David and Michelle (Artherton) Boomershine. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended school graduating from Field Kindley High School. Following high school he worked at Spears Manufacturing Co. in Caney and later for AccuClean at Amazon.com in Coffeyville. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his parents, David and Michelle Boomershine of Dearing; one brother, Matthew Boomershine of Dearing; maternal grandparents, Jack and Roberta Artherton of Coffeyville; paternal grandparents, Don and Helen Boomershine of Coffeyville; and maternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Elam of Sedan. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (May 24, 2007) in the Tyro Christian Church with David Bycroft officiating. Burial will be in Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Memorials are suggested to the Tyro Christian Church Building Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home.
