Obituary of Patty Foster

Patty J. Foster, 88, of Coffeyville, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 with her loving family by her side in Collinsville, OK. Patty was born in Columbus, KS; the daughter of the late Howard and Thelma Childers. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Lester. Patty was a loving and caring individual who will long be remembered for her warm smile and sweet nature, she was a rare and wonderful person who was kind to all. She was a woman of great integrity and she was devoted to her friends and family. She enjoyed spending time at home on the farm with her dogs, baking sweet treats, and she was also an avid reader. She is survived by her children; Carol (Butch) Waltrip of Collinsville, OK, Debra Foster of Coffeyville, KS, John (Conchita) Foster of Las Vegas, NV, Norman Foster of Independence, KS, and Robert Foster of Coffeyville, KS. Her Grandchildren; Stacey Cook, Carrie (Jason) Bowden, Dustin (Diane) Cook, Angela March, Kimberley (James) Helkenberg, Kenny Dodson, James (Jesseka) Foster, Jeana (Tim) Dasilva, Miranda (Samantha) Katz, and Amber (Neil) Howe. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Cremation has already taken place and the family will be having a graveside service at Robbins Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Friends may sign the register book on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor the memory of Patty may do so by making a donation to the ALS Association; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
