Obituary of Charlesetta Wilson

Charlesetta (French) Wilson, 73, of Coffeyville, Kansas departed this earth to begin her eternal life with the Lord on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Windsor Place Nursing Home in Coffeyville. Charlesetta was born on December 12, 1945 in Coffeyville, Kansas she was one of five children born to Charles and Lillie Mae (Perry) French. Etta was raised in Coffeyville where she attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School. She furthered her education at Coffeyville Community College. On August 5, 1974 she married the love of her life, Earnest Wilson in Coffeyville, Kansas. The couple made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their children. In addition to taking care of their home and family, Etta received certification to be a Nurse's Aide. She worked on the psychiatric unit at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for many years. Etta committed her life to Christ and a lifetime member of Sardis First Missionary Baptist Church in Coffeyville. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, fishing and baking. Most of all she loved the time she spent surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She touched the life of all those around her and will be loved and missed by all. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Earnest Edward "Eddie" Wilson of Coffeyville, Adrian Wayne Wilson of Coffeyville; six grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Downing of Coffeyville as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillie Mae French; loving husband, Earnest Wilson in 2001; brother, James A. French; sisters, Ella J. French and Shirley K. Page. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Graveside Service celebrating the life of Charlesetta Wilson will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Veterans Patio at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Walker will officiate. Private inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may sign the guest register on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials in Etta's memory to the Age to Age Learning at Windsor Place; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home. 306 N.
