Obituary of Pauline R. Mowder

Pauline R. Mowder, 93, former longtime Coffeyville resident passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Shawnee, KS where she'd made her home the last three years. She was born on January 10, 1926 at Freeport, Illinois to Paul and Olga Deininger. Pauline grew up and attended school in Freeport graduating from Freeport High School. In 1945 she married Warren L. Mowder at Salina, Kansas. They moved to Coffeyville shortly after their marriage where they raised their children. When Pauline's children were older she was employed at the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce, Winston Realty and later at BANK IV where she worked until her retirement. Her husband preceded her in death on June 28, 1996. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coffeyville and Beta Sigma Phi. Pauline enjoyed playing cards especially Bridge, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Survivors include two sons, John Mowder and wife, Jackie of Shawnee, KS and Pat Mowder and wife Lynn of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Chis Mowder and wife, Alicia, Karen Mowder, Doug Mowder and wife, Ashley, Craig Mowder, and Mike Hudson; and great-grandchildren, Ellie Mowder, Hannah Mowder, and Trinity Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warren; one daughter, Susan Mowder, and two brothers; George Deininger and Calvin Deininger. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Tony Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may sign the book on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
