Obituary of Stephen Ray Corser
Stephen Ray Corser, 61, of Dearing, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
Stephen was born on November 3, 1957 in Parsons, Kansas to Myron and Georgia (Hammond) Corser. He grew up in rural Cherryvale, Kansas and attended school in Altamont where he earned his high school diploma.
Stephen spent his adult life at a truck driver. Most recently he worked for MBI Trucking up until the time of his passing. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, camping and cars.
He is survived by his mother, Georgia Corser of Independence, Kansas; son, Chris Manning of Parsons, Kansas; daughter, Lisa Corser of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Piper and Breanna Manning; brothers, Carl (Diane) Corser of McDonald, Tennesse, John Corser of Dearing, Kansas, Robert (Joann) Corser of Irving, Texas; sisters, Elaine (Roger) McCafferty of St. Peters, Missouri, Karen (Phillip) Bleicher of Tempe, Arizona; best friend, Ken Matney; seven nieces, seven nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Dick Drumeller will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials can be made to the Coffeyville Friends of Animals; contributions can be mailed in care of the funeral home to David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
