Mildred Littleton, age 97, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan.
She was born September 6, 1909 in Sedan, Kansas to Milton Kline and Mary Winiford (Muder) Percy. She attended and graduated from Sedan High School. She married Lloyd C. Littleton on June 9, 1934 in Independence, Kansas. They moved from Russell, Kansas to Sedan in 1973. She worked as a bookkeeper for her husband at the grain elevator. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1979.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sedan, Kansas for 85 years. She was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge and the Kerotary Club.
She is survived by her cousins Sara Leach and Helen DeWitt; Carol and Johnny Lange of Sedan; Leland Wilson of Dewey, Oklahoma; Roderick Wilson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Dorothy Wilson of Florida and Della May Clifford of Garber, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; one daughter, Barbara and one sister, Inez Wilson.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2007 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Sedan, Kansas with Revered Jerry Bever officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Sedan or the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home and these remembrances may be left in care of the funeral home.
