Obituary of Fred Evans Dexter

Fred E. Dexter, 74, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. Fred was born on July 6, 1944 in Independence, Kansas to Fred E. and Rosabell I. (Reed) Dexter-Easum. He grew up in Longton, Kansas where he went to school. He then spent the rest of his life in the Coffeyville area. Fred was a farmer and worked for Johnson Lumber Yard and more recently for the Coffeyville Feed Store. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. He is survived by his sister, Kathy Mitchell of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and her family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Dexter and Rosabell Dexter-Easum. Following Fred's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
