Obituary of Iva Norene Hagebusch
Iva Norene Hagebusch, 90, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 26, 1928 at Square Rock, Arkansas to William and Cora Emma (Harrison) King. Norene grew up in the Waldron, Arkansas area attending school at Square Rock, Evening Shade, Birds View and Waldron.
When she was young she helped her family on the family farm, during World War II she worked on the Community Hay Crew operating the bull rake. Later during the war she worked at a sewing company in Fort Smith, Arkansas sewing uniforms the soldiers. After the war she worked as a telephone operator in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
On January 31, 1958 she married Delos Leon Hagebusch at the Nazarene Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their children. After retiring they moved to their home in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma
Norene was a longtime active member of Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville, she served in many church groups. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and doing alteration work but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Delos Hagebusch of the home; one daughter, Janirene Kimrey and husband, Jake of rural Welch, Oklahoma; three sons, Carl Hagebusch and Nita of Grove, Oklahoma, David Hagebusch and wife, Carol of Coffeyville, Kansas, and Daren Hagebusch and wife, Keri of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; one sister, Lura Duncan of Wister, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one step-daughter, Deanna Kay; two brothers, Orville and Morris; and three sisters, Thelma, Willie, and Maude.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville with Pastor Matt Miles and Pastor David Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Compassus Hospice, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Central Church of the Nazarene; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
