Also know that Henry Vail was married to Joyce O. Vail from 1966 to her death October 25,2002.She was the "help" raising his children. Glen was in high school and Linda was in 4th grade. When they married Linda was in middle school and Glenn High school, plus Mom had 6 kids of her own! Mom was grandma to Linda's children as well. Linda and Glenn you have hurt the Marshall side of the Family with the no mention. God have mercy on you ! Mom is buried in the same Cemetery! Barring his last name! Even says Loving wife of! Shame on you both, Henry rest in peace! Your Baby daughter Karen Marshall Richards (kaye kaye).

My sympathy to your family for the loss of Henry, In WW2 he was a gunner in gun section 1 in Battery D, my Father was a Lt in Battery D until Remagen when he became Battery Commander after the injury to Captain Schindlell, he trained at Camp Hulen in Texas with all of the men and till his death on 2000, he held them in the highest regard! He said, “They were all good soldiers!” They fought For 195 days against the best of the Germain Army and won. May he Rest In Peace. John Warmington, son of Captain William “Wild Bill “ Warmington, Battery D, 555 AAA AW Btln. (Mobile), 104 ID

I do not personally know you Mr. Henry Vail. You were in the same unit as my father Norman Blankenship. He was also in battery d. And he also joined the airforce after the war. I had to write something on your memory wall to thank you for your service. I owe my freedom to you and people like you who gave of themselves. Who did what they had to do. I know first hand of some of the horrors you endured. Again thank sir. May you rest in peace. My prayers to your family and friends.

My father was Harland Cain. We took our lawn mower to Mr. Vail and daddy let me back the truck/vehicle in the driveway to deposit the machine for repairs. Mr. Vail commented that a woman was backing in the driveway straight the first time. Laughter was part of the sunshine that day. We picked up the machine with the same brightness in our voices. Great repairman and friend.
