Obituary of Tom Stacey
Tom Stacey of Coffeyville, Kansas, age 60, died Monday, June 3, 2019 at his home.
Tom was born October 7, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Jane (Scanlon) Stacey. He married Chris Trisler on January 6, 1996 and together they raised one daughter, Sydney. The light of his life was his granddaughter Katy.
Tom worked at the New York Stock Exchange for nearly 30 years before retiring due to illness and moving to Coffeyville. He loved animals, having numerous pet dogs and cats. He also left food out for the neighborhood deer population. Tom also loved people. Young and old appreciated his easy-going, kind, loving and funny demeanor. Most of all, he cherished his faith in Jehovah God. Even as his health faded, he looked for opportunities to share his faith with strangers, in person or by mail, up to the last week of his life.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stacey/. He is survived by his wife, Chris of the home; daughter, Sydney Brinker and her husband, Robert and granddaughter, Katy. He is also survived by his mother Jane Stacey; sister, Ellen Parke (and husband, David and their children and granddaughter); brothers, Joseph Stacey (and his wife, Diane and their children and grandchildren) and Edward Stacey, his twin brother.
A Memorial Service will be held by the family on June 15, 2019 at Walter Johnson Park Recreation Center, 508 Park, Coffeyville, Kansas at 2:00 p.m.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Jehovah’s Witnesses at the local Kingdom Hall or online at JW.org
