Obituary of Herbert Otis French

Herbert Otis French, 66, of Coffeyville passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

He was born on August 12, 1952 at Nowata, Oklahoma to Burl and Lorene (Marrs) French. Herbert grew up in the Alluwe, Oklahoma area where he attended school graduating from Alluwe High School.

On December 24, 1976 he married Jo Ann Robinson. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Herbert was employed at Acme Foundry as an iron pourer and later worked in the core room. He also assisted his wife’s parents at Robinson Auction Service.

Herbert was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved traveling in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann French of the home.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Coffeyville.
