Kay Ehret

Obituary of Kay Ehret

Marleeta “Kay” Ehret, 64, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at her home.

Kay was born on April 5, 1955 in Caney, Kansas to Grover and Marcella (Williams) Gorrell.  She grew up in the south east Kansas area where she earned her high school diploma.

On June 8, 1981 she was united in marriage to John Ehret.  The couple made their home in Michigan for over 23 years.  Of that union, three children were born.  The couple later divorced.

She loved her greatest companion, Cora, her dog; who is missing here dearly.  She also loved to read and enjoyed working on the Sudoku puzzles.  Most of all she loved her family and friends.

Kay is survived by her sons, Joseph Allen Ehret of Fredonia, Kansas, Levi Zachariah Ehret and companion, Sarah Willoughby of Coffeyville, Kansas; eight grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Dee Smith and husband, Frank of Coffeyville, Kansas and her former husband, John Ehret of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She is also preceded in death by my cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Following Kay’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
