Obituary of Berniece Louise Palmer
Berniece Louise Palmer, 72, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 15, 1946 at Coffeyville to Denver L. and Berniece (Hayes) Banzet. Louise grew up in the Valeda, Kansas area attending Valeda Grade School and graduating from Labette County High School in Altamont, Kansas.
In 1969 she married the love of her life, Joe L. Palmer at Angola, Kansas. Following their marriage they made their home in the Coffeyville area where they raised their sons, Steve and Bradley. Her husband preceded her in death on March 17, 2016.
Louise worked at Western Publishing Co., was a legal secretary for Larry Markle and later became a CNA at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. Louise enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two son, Steve Palmer and wife, Kari of Coffeyville and Bradley Palmer and wife, Shawna of Branson, Missouri; one sister, Ruby Eppler and husband, Jim of Dewey, Oklahoma; three brothers, Howard Banzet and wife, Pam of Coffeyville, Larry Banzet and wife, Carla of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Barry Banzet and wife, Beth of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, and one brother, Leon "Butch" Banzet in 1992.
A memorial service celebrating Louise's life will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Church of Christ, 1005 Siggins St.
