Obituary of Myrtle Aileen "Polly" Pearsall

Myrtle Aileen "Polly" Pearsall, 96, of Caney, Kansas passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Guest Home Estates in Caney, Kansas.

Polly was born on February 12, 1923 in Peru, Kansas to O.B. and Myrtle Amanda (Squier) Bridenstine. She grew up Caney, Kansas where she attended school and graduated from Caney High School.

On September 27, 1942 she married the love of her life, M. L. Pearsall in Caney, Kansas. The couple made their home in Caney where they raised their family.

Polly was a member of the Frist Christian Church; and a member of the Sigourneyan Club, she was an amazing cook and she enjoyed sewing. Polly was an amazing homemaker who took care of her family. Polly and her best friend Geneva Morency owned operated Geneva's Clothing in Caney for several years, she also worked with helping in transportation for those who needed assistance with the Shepherd Center.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Kirkpatrick of North Carolina, Sherry Doty and husband, Roger of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sisters, Nannette Center of Dallas, Texas, Mary Birkbeck of Holton, Kansas; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.B. and Myrtle Bridenstine; loving husband, M.L. Pearsall; daughter, Dianne Lovejoy-Cornell and brother, Bud Bridenstine.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney with Reverend Bill Wright officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

The family suggests contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. These may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home at 306 N. Cline, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
