Coffeyville - Maxine Moyer, 80, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday (April 24, 2007) at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. She was born April 12, 1927 in rural Tyro, KS to Gilbert Howard and Lilly May (Adams) Clark. She grew up in the rural Tyro and Wann, OK area attending grade school at Tyro and graduating from Wann High School in 1944 as valedictorian of her class. Following high school she was employed in Bartlesville, OK, as a secretary at Citi Service Oil Company and later at Phillips Petroleum Company. On October 17, 1950 she married Donald L. Moyer in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Following their marriage the made their home in Montgomery County where they farmed and raised livestock. Mrs. Moyer was a member of the Tyro Christian Church, and the Joy Group at her church. She was also a member of the West-Brown E.H.U. and former member of Jane Phillips Sorority in Bartlesville. Maxine enjoyed time spent with her family. Survivors include her husband, Donald Moyer of the home; three daughters, Donna Cease of Tyro, Dana Wade of Tyro, and Debbie (Steve) Nielson of Copan, OK; two sons, David Moyer of Tyro, and Danny Moyer of the home; one sister, Ruth Nipper of Coffeyville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons-in-law, one grandson, two sisters and three infant brothers. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (April 26, 2007) in the Tyro Christian Church with David Bycoft officiating. Burial will be in Fawn Creek Cemetery northeast of Tyro. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Tyro Christian Church; contribution may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337
