Obituary of Yupadee Donahoe
Yupadee Donahoe, 77, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Yupadee was born in Lopburi, Thailand to Pen and Phew Choobua. Pen was a General in Thailand and their family held high honors.
She met an American Soldier whom she fell in love with while he was stationed over there; his name was Jack Michael “Mike” Donahoe. The couple remained together and chose to get married at the Royal Embassy in Lopburi, Thailand on June 27, 1968. Yupadee had a son from a previous relationship that Mike adopted named John Ariya Donahoe. Together the couple had Gwen (Donahoe) Marcellus, Jack Donahoe and Traci (Donahoe) Bromley. They later adopted their grandson, Michael. Mike preceded her in death due to cancer on January 16, 2005.
When she started working she began in a factory sewing job, she moved on to cleaning homes. She then worked for Bank of America. Yupadee furthered her education in the health field and received her LPN going to work in Arizona for the Mesa General Hospital for many years until her retirement.
In the past several years she has lived with and was cared for by her daughter, Traci Bromley. Traci’s family, especially her daughter, Madyson helped to, love and care for her these past several years. Yupadee spent a lot of her time meditating, going through her readings and going to Temple. She was of the Buddhist faith.
She had a spit fire spirit personality and was always a handful. She loved those around her and touched all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Traci and husband, Scott Bromley along with her other children; grandchildren; Danielle (Jamal Logan), Madyson and Seth Bromley along with several other grandchildren; great grandchildren, MaKenzlea Grace Johnson, Jaron and Jayce Logan along with several others great grandchildren and three brothers. She was also survived by her brother in law, Dennis Short and wife, Pat of Nebraska along with Tina Martin whom was like a daughter to her and very much a part of her life for the past year.
She is preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Mike Donahoe and two brothers.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place with David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas. No services are scheduled at this time.
