April 7, 2007 in the early morning Claude Louise Baker went to be with her maker, and loving Lord Jesus.
She was born on August 25, 1936 to Herbert and Mary (Buchanan) Denney in Colorado Springs, CO. Her family moved to Okmulgee, OK where she attended school and graduated from high school. She then attended Cosmetology school in Tulsa, OK.
On June 19, 1962 she married George F. Baker. Following their marriage they made their home in South Coffeyville, OK. She worked for many years at George's Cafeteria in the bakery department, following its closing she worked at Medicalodge until retiring.
Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, and most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Claudette left behind her husband, George of the home; three sons, Vinson Baker and wife Debbie of Independence, KS, Mycale Baker and wife Barbara of South Coffeyville, OK; and Dale Baker of South Coffeyville; one brother, Gene Denney of Morris, OK; and five grandchildren, Chanze, Chelsey, Nathan, Izak and Hannah. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson, Zackary.
Cremation has taken place. In lue of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, South Coffeyville Fire Department, or the American Cancer Society. These remembrances may be left with the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
