I got to know Crystal and Zaydie really well this past year. What I saw was a mother who worried about and loved her child, a women who hoped to find love, and most of all, someone who never gave up. She had her demons, as we all do, and she struggled to overcome them instead of allowing them to overcome her. She had a big heart and tried to help others, including myself, in any way she could. I am so sorry that her journey ended at such a young age, because I know she had plans and dreams left unfinished. Zaydie is such a sweet girl with so much compassion. She loves animals and my dog, Mister adored her. He is a 100 pound giant, but yet here is this little girl who could take his leash and walk him down the sidewalk with him staying right by her side, something he won’t even do for me. I know in my heart that Crystal has finally found peace. Zaydie, I pray for you every night and I know you will you get through this and have a wonderful life. That is what your Mama would want.
