Obituary of Brian J. McCullough

Brian J. McCullough, 61, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home.
He was born on July 17, 1958 at Coffeyville to Royal J. and Maxine (Mahoney) McCullough. Brian grew up and attended school in Coffeyville where he attended Holy Name Catholic School and Field Kindley High School.
While attending school Brian loved to help his dad at McCullough Plumbing, and later became a licensed plumber and Master Plumber, taking over the business in 1995 when Royal retired. Brian loved the challenges of being a plumber and trained several young men to join the field.
On July 30, 1988 he married Vicki Moomaw at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville.
Brian grew up attending Holy Name Catholic Church, He loved going Pheasant hunting in western Kansas, camping at Big Hill Lake at Cherryvale, going 4 wheeling at Waynoka, Oklahoma, setting trotlines for one week every May, playing poker with family and friends, and loved animals especially dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki of the home; one son, Ryan McCullough, one daughter, Ginger McCullough, two step-sons, Robert Foust and Dustin Foust all of Coffeyville; his mother, Maxine McCullough of Coffeyville, three brothers, Dr. James McCullough and wife, Leslie of Stillwell, Kansas, Mark McCullough and wife, Chris of Coffeyville, and David McCullough and wife, Kerry of Overland Park, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Bobby McCullough and Victoria McCullough both of Coffeyville, and Quinton Foust of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father, Royal McCullough; and one brother, John McCullough.
A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Daniel Lorimer officiating. Burial will follow in Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to Coffeyville Friends of Animals or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
