Obituary of Pamela S. Soles

Pamela S. "Pam" Soles, 64, of Liberty passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at her home. She was born on November 18, 1955 at Coffeyville to Darreld E. and Laura Mae (Andres) VanTeighen. Pam grew up in Coffeyville where she attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Field Kindley High School. On December 24, 1980 she married Ronald E. Soles at Miami, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they made their home in the Coffeyville and Liberty area. Ron preceded her in death on February 18, 2015. Pam was employed at Western Publishing Co. for several years and later became a Home Health Care caregiver. She loved being outdoors spending time, she enjoyed fishing and swimming, painting, arts and crafts and playing pool with the girls. Survivors include one son, John Soles of Independence; one sister, Marcia Scott and husband, Randy; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Judy VanTeighen; and one brother, Darreld D. "Butch" VanTeighen. A Memorial Service celebrating Pam's life will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio with Pastor Mark Wilson of the First Church of God officiating. Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Following Pam's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
