Jack Scott Voris, Jr., 62, of Goshen, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his residence. Jack was born on January 20, 1958 in Kansas. He grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas where he attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School. Jack was born on January 20, 1958 to Jack S. Voris and Myrtle E. (Redman) Voris. He grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas where he attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School. He proudly served in the United States Army for four years. On December 2, 1998 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cheryl Ricketts in Troy, Alabama. The couple made their home in Goshen, Alabama. Jack worked for many years at Acme Foundry in Coffeyville where he retired. He loved playing outside with his fur babies and relaxing in his comfy chair. Most of all he loved the time spent surrounded by his grandchildren, family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Voris of the home; mother, Myrtle Sitsler of Coffeyville, Kansas; children: Orlando Buck (Kelly) of Cashiers, North Carolina, Ellen Boyle (Guy) of Mound Valley, Kansas, Jeryl Buck (Mary) of Whittier, North Caroline, Larry Voris of Coffeyville, Kansas and Sandra Hildagrad of Coffeyville, Kansas; grandchildren, Andrew Boyle, Savannah Worley (Shawn), Weston Fancher (Jake), Denver Buck, Billy Buck, Matthew Boyle, Ava Buck, Jonathan Buck, Xavier Voris, Skyla Voris, Kendalyn Buck, Gracelyn Buck, Keygan Voris and Cassiday Voris; great granddaughter, Kaylee and one on the way, Ivory; brothers, Robert Voris (Donna) of Independence, Kansas, Larry Voris (Paula) of Wichita, Kansas, Clyde VandenBusch (Pat) of Troy, Alabama; sister, Linda Bond (Don) of Chanute, Kansas; fury friends, Gus, Christy, Eagle, Sammy and Macy. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Scott Voris, step father, Andy Sitsler; brother, Kenneth Voris and sister, Elizabeth Nipper. Family will greet friends on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Mound Valley Christian Church located at 405 Hickory Street, Mound Valley, Kansas 67354. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Church in Mound Valley, Kansas. Jack’s son, Pastor Orlando Buck will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. The family suggests memorials can be made to the Troy Animal Rescue Project P.O. Box 771 Troy, Alabama 36081 contributions can be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N Cline Rd, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
