Bub will be missed by many. He was especially close to people going to college in the 60's. Bub was one of the greatest story tellers I have ever known,Many a time he would say "that dog is solid on point or reminisce about some great boxer he admired. Bub was always a good friend to me. We would talk on the phone occasionally and I had tried him a couple of weeks ago and didn't get an answer. Where ever Bub is now, I think he has a new bird dog and an upcoming boxing match. I was sad to hear about Jacks passing also. God Bless you, Bub

My heart breaks as I read this about my "Bum". Our Mother's side of the family was related to Bub. So when I was little we spent a lot of time at the Pig Stand. I couldn't say Bub. It came out Bum. So that was the name that I have always called him. Mom always said when we went out there I had the run of the place..... going behind the bar, sitting on the bar, in the kitchen. Just where ever I wanted to go. Still to this day that was how we always greeted each other. There's my Bum and he would call me Bum too and always had a big hug for each other. I loved him and Betty so much. So my 'Bum" now you and Betty are together again. And also with Jack. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. Love and hugs to all of you. My heartfelt condolences go to Dicky, Bobby and the entire Angleton family. I've only met the Angletons in person a few times, yet hearing a lifetime of stories from my Aunt Joann and Uncle Bill Benefiel, I feel I know you all so well. I know Bub to be a great family man, dedicated friend and an upstanding member of the community. He will be missed by many and remembered long and well. God bless.

So sorry to hear of Bub’s passing. My condolences to the family. Bub was a Legend around Coffeyville. While attending college in the early ‘60’s, we all hung out at The Pig. I loved listening to Bub’s stories, especially about the Golden Glove days. Everyone liked Bub. RIP Bub.
