Lois A. Carlisle, 84, formerly of Tulsa Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Windsor Place.
Lois was born on March 8, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Clyde and Evelyn (Koder) Swarthout. She grew up in Tulsa. She attended High school in Texas. She retired from Tulsa County where she had worked as a Court Clerk for over 17 years.
Surviving to honor her memory are her children: Champ V. Carlisle III, KaLynn Showalter and husband Jim; Tracy Davies and husband Roger. Five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her sister in law Ruth Swarthout. Multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Helen Eller and husband Lee; her sister Mary Taylor and husband Bill; her brother Bill Swarthout.
Lois or Nana, as her family called her, loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She enjoyed being with her family, shopping, visiting, gardening and reading her bible. She will be missed by all. Her family is comforted by knowing she is in heaven dancing and waiting for the day the rest of the family joins her.
Following Lois’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas and a family memorial was held on Saturday June 27th.
