Obituary of Cheryl Lee Baunhofer

Cheryl Lee Baunhofer, age 72, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Cheryl was born on January 9, 1948 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Russell Lee and Juanita Marie (Green) Frisbie. She grew up in Coffeyville and attended local schools. Cheryl graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1966 and attended Coffeyville Community College. On October 21, 1974 she married the love of her life, Gary Baunhofer in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple made their life long home in Coffeyville. Gary preceded her in death on January 10, 2008. Cheryl enjoyed attending arts and crafts fairs, traveling and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Hill and husband, Mike of Welch, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; brother, Jim Frisbie of Liberty, Missouri,her aunt Maxine Frisbee of Dallas, Texas and her special furry companion, Pebbles the dog. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Juanita Frisbie; husband, Gary Braunhofer; and her son, Kyle Phelan. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Patio at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
