Billy Ray Atkins, 64, of Parsons, Kansas formerly of Coffeyville and rural Wann, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at St. Frances Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Billy was born on September 14, 1956 at Coffeyville to Charles and Mary (Vaughn) Atkins. He grew up in the Timberhill community of rural Wann, and attended elementary school in Wann. In the late 1980's he moved to Coffeyville with his mother. Billy enjoyed dogs, the outdoors and always wanting to wrestle, just being ornery and pestering poeple Survivors include his mother, Mary McAfee of Coffeyville; siblings, Wormie Glen Atkins of Noxie, Oklahoma, Darrell Lynn Atkins of Coffeyville, Sherry Dawn Beard of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Johnny Lee Atkins of Buffalo, Missouri, Tammy Dean Atkins of Coffeyville and Barbie Sue Reeves of Coffeyville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, and one brother, Dennis Dewayne Atkins. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville with Pastor Kevin O'Connor officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
