Jimmy Lee Burns, Jr., age 76, the King has left his earthly building on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Jimmy was born on April 1, 1944 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Jimmy Lee Burns and Lenora (Banks) Leary. He attended high school in Coffeyville, Kansas where he graduated from Field Kindley High School. He worked for Recon, Acme Foundry and for Walmart on the floor crew. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominos. He loved to make people laugh and had many corny jokes to share with family and friends. Most of all he loved the time he spent with his family. He is survived by his sister, Martha Kemp of Compton, California; special cousins, Evelyn Davidson, Robert Johnson, Betty Jackson, Lester Fullard, Frances Clemons, Linda Burns, Arnold Fullard, Meco Fullard; special friend, Shirley Pearson; along with a host of other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Lee Burns and Lenora Leary; wife, Penny Burns; aunts, Lessie Fullard and Frances Hall; cousin, Frank Fullard along with other extended relatives. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Armogen Walker will officiate. Cremation will follow services. Friends may view at David W Barnes Funeral Home on Wednesday, October28, 2020 from 1pm-5pm with the family viewing from 5pm-6pm.
